Concomitant use with sympathomimetic drugs such as decongestants, tricyclic antidepressants, appetite suppressants, and psychostimulants such as amphetamines, or with monoamine oxidase inhibitors that interfere with catabolism of sympathomimetic amines, can cause an increase in blood pressure.
